Dr. Deloris McNeal Young, D.D.

Senior Pastor



Bishop Deloris M. Young is the founder and senior pastor of the Greater Pentecostal Temple, Inc., in Hardeeville, South Carolina.  A ministry she has overseen since its inception in 1981.  Through her ministry people have been healed, delivered, and saved by her preaching and teaching of the gospel.  She is affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW) where she is the first female appointed as Bishop within the Southeastern District. 


 

Bishop Young is a local and international speaker.  Her travels have taken her throughout the U.S., Europe, and to South Africa where she has ministered the word of God.  Her influence on others and her leadership skills continue to grow as she faces many challenges.  Bishop Young’s honorable actions reveal to all, her integrity and commitment to God’s plan for the world.  She keeps her heart close to God and her behavior reflects inner strength, character, and the utmost respect for God’s timing and plans.  


Bishop Young has taken advantage of many opportunities to serve the Lord in various diverse positions at the state and national levels.  She is the CEO of Agape Family Life Center, Inc., a Non Profit organization, where programs and services are established to improve the quality of life for Jasper and Beaufort County communities. Her community involvement has earned her recognition and awards for the following achievements.  In 2007 she was selected as WTOC Hometown Hero; Gospel Today Magazine’s Most Loved Pastors in 2001 and 2007; Jasper County Unsung Hero Award in 2010; Jasper County Living Legend ward in 2011; Grand Marshall for Hardeeville-Ridgeland High School in 2017; and currently an inaugural member of the South Carolina Effective Leaders Fellowship Cohort.
